Lakshmi Hanspal is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Box. With more than 20 years of experience in information security, risk management and privacy, in her role she’s responsible for Box's cyber security practice, security operations and data and platform protection. Lakshmi has a long history of leadership in Security and Privacy. Prior to joining Box, she served as Chief Security Officer at SAP Ariba. Prior to that, Lakshmi was the senior leader for Information Security and Risk at PayPal, and before that, she spent 10 years at the Bank of America as a Senior Vice President. Lakshmi advises several Silicon Valley start-ups and serves on the advisory boards of numerous cloud companies. She is also passionate about engaging and promoting Women in technology and developing talent within teams. In her personal life, Lakshmi is an active volunteer within the community and coaches youth sports.
